F1 Singapore Grand Prix

A long overdue post. :) I was very thankful to the kind soul who gave a free ticket...Really enjoyed watching the race with my friend.


Marina Bay was surely crowded that night. It has been full following the Grand Prix, there were parties, race-themed events, music concerts, exhibitions and dining & shopping experiences too.

This year's race was won by Fernando Alonso (Spanish but not the one in photo) who also won in 2008. He is the youngest Formula One World Drivers' Champion. After retaining the title the following year, Alonso also became the youngest double Champion. He is nicknamed El Nano, a typical pseudonym for Fernando in Asturias, his place of birth, Alonso acts as a Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF.

Would love to watch this year again.
